Q: What form of payment do you accept?
A: All major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover & Diners Club. No cash or checks.
Q: What is your minimum age requirement for renting or driving a rental vehicle?
A: 23 years of age on your last birthday with a valid drivers license and a signer on the rental contract. 25 years of age for SUVs.
Q: Do your Jeeps and SUVs have beach driving permits?
A: Yes, our Jeep Wranglers, Jeep Gladiator pickups, and Defenders have the required permits for driving on ALL Nantucket Town beaches and Great Point. Our other SUV all-wheel drive vehicles (Kia Sorento and Honda Pilot) are only allowed on Town of Nantucket beaches, not Great Point.
Q: What other fees do you charge your renters above the rental charge?
A: Normal State, Municipal and Airport taxes and fees.
Q: What is the renters responsibility when getting stuck on the beach?
A: The renter is responsible for all towing and damages if you get stuck on the beach.
Q: Do you allow smoking in your vehicles?
A: No, smoking of any kind is not allowed in our vehicles.
Q: Does Nantucket really not have any stop lights / traffic lights?
A: Yes, there are no traffic lights on the island.
Q: What is the size of Nantucket?
A: The island is approximately 14 miles long by 3 miles wide and has 82 miles of beaches.
Q: What is the year round island population?
A: There are about 12,000 year round residents which swells to 60,000 plus in the summer.
Q: How many lighthouses are on Nantucket and can I drive to them?
A: There are 3 lighthouses, Brant Point Light, in town, Sankaty Light in ‘Sconset and Great Point Light at Great Point. Both Brant Point and Sankaty can be driven to in any vehicle. Great Point can only be driven to by our Jeep Wranglers and Jeep Gladiator pickups.
